Server Admin During The Day, Tech Enthusiast During The Night.
My fascination with computers started when I was about 7 years old, right after my family and I decided to make a change in our lives and move to the Sunny State Of Florida. My parent’s upgraded to a Windows XP workstation and handed me their old Windows 98 workstation with a CRT monitor, and Dial-Up service provided by American Online. Since then, my fascination and passion for technology in general has greatly strengthened. When I was in middle school, I told my father that I someday wanted to build my own computer. At that time, it seemed nearly impossible and felt like I had a long way to go before I felt comfortable doing so. I eventually did build my own computer at the age of 20.
I did not go to my local high school because I was zoned for it, I went to it because I was interested in their computer academy. My daily schedule was scheduled around my daily computer classes. While in high school, I did learn a bit about computers and how they work, however, most of what was taught to me, I already knew from messing around with computers as a hobby after school. As time went on during my four dreaded long years of schooling, I found a category in technology that I was highly obsessed with, “web hosting” and Linux in particular. When high school graduation came around, I graduated with 2 certifications in Adobe Photoshop, and did make an attempt at earning a CCNA degree from taking computer networking based classes. I was also running a project offering free web-hosting from a sponsored free server. Before I ended that project, my server was hosting over 500 active websites.
Since graduation and ending my web hosting project, I have attended years of college, going for a certification in IT. I know I want IT as my career, however, I’m not exactly sure what in IT I want. Previously, I was employed at a local family-owned company working as a Level 2 Help Desk / Onsite Technician. Since being employed with this company, I have obtained an AS Certificate in Server Administration from my local college. I am currently employed working for a software company as a fully remote Server Admin. I am also working on a project, TechIntruder. I’m not exactly sure what I see TechIntruder exactly being, however, for now it will launch as a tech blog with the slogan “Intruding Your Tech Knowledge One Blog Post At A Time”.
If you want to get in touch with me, it’s pretty easy to do so. I am open to any tech-related questions and am open to paid advertisements for my blog, TechIntruder, and open to any freelance work.
